Social Media Guidance
Networking and conversation, not blasting.
That’s right… “guidance.” Because the concept of someone else managing your social net media accounts is ridiculous, especially if you’re a small business looking to actually connect with customers. “Social media” is the buzz phrase, because many organizations are sharing different types of media, but the platforms are really designed for networking. Meaning, conversing with people who share similar interests or professions. Social media for small business is the most effective when it’s used as an opportunity to network within your community. And no one should be speaking for you. Instead, I’ll help you to:
- Decide which social networking platform could really work for your business.
- Create a profile including pictures, a bio, a link to your website, etc.
- Get started with the basics. Often this is merely following other individuals or businesses that interest you.
- Take next steps such as liking and commenting, but not yet posting your own original content.
- Integrate social into your daily business tasks, so it becomes second nature and really quite manageable.
All this can be done on one social networking platform and once you’re comfortable, you’ll take the wheel and start sharing your own content. It’s not as difficult as it might seem, especially if you choose one network to start and let me walk you through the steps.
